Supplying Artwork
Files for all magazines are accepted via Quickcut.
If supplying via email, files must be distiller generated PDFs (version 1.5 or less) from within an application (Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop), and must comply with our specifications.
* All files must be created according to the correct size specifications (see above).
* Files to be suppied as composite CMYK (no RGB) with all fonts embedded.
* Must be supplied as single advertisments to final advertisement size.
* Full Page and Double Page Spread ads must be created to include 5mm bleed (see sizes above).
Files must contain crop marks that are outside the trim and bleed areas, a 5mm offset is required.
(Please note than only Full Page and Double Page Spreads are to be supplied with bleed and crops).
* Images are to be CMYK, 240dpi minimum resolution with a maximum total ink weight of 310%.
* Rich blacks are best achieved by creating a new colour containing 40% Cyan and 100% Black.
* All PDFs must be compatible with PDF version 1.5 or less, high resolution, press optimised, flattened files (no layered files will be accepted).
JPEGs accepted, flattened files only with all fonts outlined and must meet above requirements.
CMYK Colour Settings: U.S. Web Coated (SWOP) v2
All files should be run through a flightchecking application before transmission to ensure file and colour integrity.
Content of digital files must be verified before transmission, and all relevant graphics and fonts must be embedded. The file content remains the responsibility of the sender.
